The trip itinerary will be developed as we further plan our land trip to Iceland currently scheduled for August, 2024. The Map shown below is the typical Iceland Ring Road route, but this particular map also includes the portion in the upper left called the Westfjords Peninsula. This general route will be the basis for our trip itinerary, and we will need to schedule out our stops based on our timeframe, and then try to modify the rental period if we determine we need more time to see everything without having to cram everything in. It will be better to add days to our campervan rental if needed than leave without seeing everything we want to see.
The sooner we can determine our exact route, the better our chances are of extending the rental without having to worry about the availability of extended days if someone else rents this campervan after our current timeframe.
The trip into the Westfjords Peninsula is not typically part of the normal Ring Route, we will need to determine if this portion gets added into our trip.
