The Studlagil Canyon and Svartifoss Waterfall is a well-known landmark in Iceland. It is famous for its beautiful watercolor and the vertical columns of basalt formed from volcanic activity. There were two different sides to visit, we were on the side with the metal platform and steps, as seen in the drone video. It was over a 4 km walk from the parking lot to the waterfall on the opposite side, but there was access to the basalt columns and river from that side, and it was much more popular. We did not want to walk that far, so we only visited one side since the parking lot was closer to the access.
