Epilogue 2

posted in: Trip Posts | 0

This will be our last post for this trip unless we decide to add some final thoughts into one more post at a later date.

We have added several videos from this trip to a Playlist on YouTube.  It is easier and faster to have the vides there than to post each individually on this blog.  We will leave the videos here that have been added to date, but there are many more on the YouTube Playlist.

Here Is the Link to the Iceland 2024 Videos Playlist on YouTube.

To read only the posts associated with the trip itself, and skip all of the planning posts, choose the Trip Posts Only option on the top menu.  This will reload only the actual trip posts from August 6 to August 25 plus these two Epilogue Posts.

Below is a map showing all of the stops we made on our trip around Iceland.  This is roughly based on all of the saved places we made before the trip, and they were edited after we got home to remove places we did not stop at, more or less, but it is generally representative of what and where we visited.

We have completed the first round of proofreading, and have added pictures into the blog write-ups to enhance the reading experience.  We are also uploading some videos of places we visited.  Waterfalls are especially dynamic when viewed on video, much more so than via still pictures.  We are trying out two video upload methods, direct to our site, and embedded through YouTube.

The embedded videos should load faster, and we will evaluate that over time and eventually choose one method.  We hope to add more videos from our Samsung S24 Ultra Phones.

We have uploaded photo albums, and they are accessible via the Photo Album Menu at the top of the blog site, as are the videos.  The videos will also be listed on the sidebar on the right of the main blog home page for this trip.

The last thing to do is to re-sort the posts into normal chronological order instead of the typical reverse chronological order used for blogging, which makes the most current post appear at the top of the blog.  Once the trip is completed, sorting in chronological order makes more sense.
