Planning Another Transatlantic Cruise

We have decided to go on another Transatlantic Cruise with Princess Cruises on the Regal Princess ship.  Ever since we did the Transatlantic Cruise that ended in Copenhagen in 2016, we have thought about trying to get back to see St. Petersburg, Russia.  After we disembarked the ship in Copenhagen in 2016, the very next cruise itinerary for the Regal Princess was to visit St. Petersburg, and we had wished we were going onward at that time.  However, we did not sign up for that portion of the cruise and instead, had a great visit in Copenhagen.

This year, we saw that the Regal Princess was combining a Baltic Cruise, with stops in the British Isles and then heading across the Atlantic to New York.  This was a 22 Day cruise and was visiting St. Petersburg, as well as several places in Estonia, Norway, and Sweden that we have not previously visited.  There was also a Sip-n-Sail promotion being offered by Princess Cruises, so we jumped at the opportunity.  There were limited balcony cabins available by the time we looked into the cruise, but one was all we needed, and we will be travelling in a cabin more toward the stern of the ship than is usual for us.  We normally prefer being closer to the bow.  However, we may have the opportunity to change cabins closer to the Sail Date of August 31, 2018

This will be our eighth Transatlantic Cruise, and the fifth going in a westward direction, which we prefer because it is typically warmer crossing the Atlantic in the Fall.  Plus, we like the gradual time change adding an hour to six days as we cross the Atlantic. This is much easier than losing an hour for six days on the eastward crossings.

This will be my 30th cruise overall, and my 25th Princess Cruise. At the completion of this cruise, I will have 270 days on Princess cruises and 305 days of cruising overall. Stephanie will have completed 24 cruises overall, and this will be her 20th Princess Cruise. She will have completed 231 days on Princess cruises, and 259 total days cruising.
